LuLaRoe Business Opportunity FAQ
After you submit your retailer application, LuLaRoe will contact you within a couple of days to put you in the "queue" for consideration. They will do a training call with you while you are waiting in line. Before you can start working as a retailer, they'll assign you tasks to do during this training call. Some of these challenges include:
- Make a list of 50 names.
- Co-host a pop-up event with a local sponsor or retailer.
- Reserve a pop-up with a client.
- You are welcome to join the LuLaRoe T.E.A.M. if you have successfully completed these three challenges.
Prior to resubmitting your application, you can wait in line for up to 6 months.
In the event that you decide to close your account, LuLaRoe provides an 85% buy back program whereby they would reimburse you for 85% of the cost of any goods you purchased within the previous year.
Majority sell online in a Facebook group made especially for your business. Many retailers enjoy hosting home pop-ups (home parties), vendor events, open houses in their own residences, as well as their own websites, which LuLaRoe can help you with. Your company can be tailored to your own needs.
Another awesome feature of LuLaRoe is this! You would only be serving customers who share your preferences if you choose all of the prints. You're accommodating everyone if you let LuLaRoe send you a range of prints. It's possible that you order a print that you don't find beautiful, but one of your customers will adore it.
Depending on the products you are selling, you can expect to profit anywhere between 100% and 110% on each sale. A $15 item could be purchased and sold for $35, for instance. Although not all things have the same percentage markup, they are all close to the same amount. More than any other MLM I've ever encountered, the minimum you'll make is 100%.
The cost to launch your own LuLaRoe business recently changed thanks to LuLaRoe! Starting at just $499, you can select any one of the 65 items that are in stock at the time of your onboarding call. See my blog post on LuLaRoe Start Up Cost for additional information.
Right now, pre-made packages don't exist. You may now tailor your complete start-up order by selecting the styles, sizes, and quantities you desire. There are currently $499 startup charges (65 pieces).
Any major credit card, ACH account, or debit card can be used to pay for your initial investment (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover Card). A credit card with 0% interest for 12 to 18 months is what some consultants use to cover their first outlay. If you're diligent about paying off your credit card, this is an easy way to collect rewards as most credit cards provide points for using their card. To pay for your initial order, you may use as many credit cards as you wish.
There was once, but there is no longer anymore.
You won't pay for your first order until once your two-week training is complete.
That somewhat relies on your location and the distribution center from which your inventory is shipped. Our current distribution hub is in South Carolina. Since I live in North Carolina, it only takes three hours to get there, therefore it's amazing since many times I get packages the very next day.
Nope. To continue being active, you DO NOT NEED TO ORDER ANYTHING. All that is necessary is that you SELL 1 thing once a month. The sales platform used by LuLaRoe, called "Bless," must be used to process your transaction.
About 50% off the suggested retail price is offered on the majority of the items.
When someone in my Facebook group claims an item, I'll place it on my "sold" rack with a sticky note in front of their products so I can keep everyone's items distinct. Every store does it a little differently. Some individuals utilize bins to store their sold goods. You can upload a picture of the goods they received with your invoice through Bless so you can always refer back to their order. It's fairly easy.
Through their website, you may arrange for the USPS to pick up all of your packages every day. This makes it convenient because you never have to pick them up. Sometimes when customers pay after my mail carrier arrives at noon every day, I'll drop it off so it ships the same day. But if it's later, I'll just wait till she returns the next day. You can also open a Fedex account to ship your packages, but I believe there is a cost for Fedex to pick up your packages. The USPS is free, at least.
My shipping platform is shippingeasy.com. They work in tandem with LuLaRoe and provide reduced shipping. Their staff is really helpful, and they provide additional resources to support your LuLaRoe business, such as a free service to create marketing emails for your clients. It's really neat.
Any method you want to use to take inventory photos is acceptable. They imply that they appear orderly and tidy, which will only enhance the professional image of your company. Never shoot photos on a blanket or carpet. I advise you to use a white background, a flat-lay style, and decent lighting when taking your images. Through your photos, you are showcasing LuLaRoe and your company.
Team sales determine bonuses. You receive 5% of the wholesale cost of the products sold by your first level team through the LuLaRoe point of sale system "Bless." Depending on your rank, that of your team members, and other factors, your income may fluctuate. Anyone with a rank of trainer or higher is also eligible for a leadership bonus pool. If you want additional details about the pay structure, let me know!
You should always keep in mind that YOU manage your company, not your sponsor. The expansion and success of your business are entirely up to you. Having a resourceful sponsor who will act as your coach and provide you with ideas, advice, and positive criticism is really beneficial. Someone who genuinely cares about your company and wishes you well. Just keep in mind that YOU are responsible for your company's success. Not at all the sponsor.
LuLaRoe constantly updates its styles to reflect the most recent trends. Every year, they typically release 15 to 30 new goods.
There isn't a single catalog that lists every item available because each merchant has a unique inventory. Every retailer essentially has their own distinctive catalog. To see every style currently available, visit the LuLaRoe style library.
If any of the products that LuLaRoe sends you are damaged, they will pay you back. You will submit a ticket and return the damaged items as soon as you have 15 or more defective items. You'll typically get a credit for the amount you paid when you bought the items added to your LuLaRoe account within 2-4 weeks.
Not you. Up to six months may pass without any activity. You only need to sell one item to reactivate. LuLaRoe will close your account if it is inactive for two consecutive six-month periods, and you will then need to get in touch with their Onboarding team to talk about your possibilities for reactivation.
No way! Our parties are conducted in an open-house manner. As it suits them, visitors will come and leave. When you place your first order, LuLaRoe will give you resources like sign templates, fliers, bags, and training manuals on how to conduct an effective house party.
Racks, hangers, size tags, poly mailers, label makers, labels, merchandise bags, business cards, post-it notes, leggings bins, re-taggers, etc. are all necessary. I added on these other purchases for roughly $600 total.
No, there are no recurring costs!
You could occasionally receive a print that you find difficult to remove. Not that it isn't adorable, but perhaps you don't have the correct audience for that print. In this situation, you have two options: swap it with other retailers or give your consumers a discount. Frequently, when I run a deal like "buy 3 get 1 free," I'll give away a print that I've had for more than a few months in exchange.
We have a website provided by LuLaRoe where you can display your goods and make direct sales! And it's free! Through the Bless portal, you submit your merchandise to the website, and they give you your domain. Customers can shop on your website, add goods to their carts, and complete the checkout process there. Other than this website, you are not allowed to create your own website for self-checkout.
The fact that LuLaRoe doesn't have a fixed catalog is one of the things that distinguishes us the most. Styles, sizes, and quantities are all purchased together with your inventory. You will receive a range of prints from LuLaRoe in the sizes and designs you requested. Because each consultant sells a unique assortment of items and has their own personal style, there is virtually little competition for clients. I haven't seen a better business plan anyplace else than this one.
This system has led to a culture of love and service among the retailers, who are all constantly willing to assist one another. The majority of merchants will let you conduct a sale in their establishment while you pay them a wholesale price for your goods. This enables both the merchant to shift items and recoup some costs so that customers can place new orders and see new inventory. Each retailer benefits.
If your commissions from LuLaRoe total more than $600, they will give you a 1099 form. If you have a team or at least one person in your downline, you can earn commissions. You are in charge of filing and reporting all of your taxes if you don't receive a 1099. While LuLaRoe does not deduct income taxes from commission payments or customer purchases, they do withhold and submit the sales tax to your state on your behalf. I reserve between 10 and 15 percent of my profit for income taxes.
Instantly! The money from your customers' orders are quickly deposited after the transaction is finished onto the debit card that LuLaRoe provides you. This debit card is usable anyplace that Mastercard is accepted. There is a $1 processing fee each transfer, and it takes 2-3 business days to deposit these monies into your checking account.
You are paid whenever you want! There is a "Get Paid" button in your bless app that, when clicked, automatically deposits any money that have come in since the last transfer to your LuLaRoe Debit Card. If you don't make a manual transfer, LuLaRoe will process the money once daily onto your debit card. If you decide to shift the funds to your checking account, you can decide how frequently to do so once the money is on your LuLaRoe Debit Card.
Your check is Direct Deposited to your Checking Account once per month around the 15th of the next month if you grow a team and are eligible for a commission payment. For instance, you would receive payment around August 15th for commissions from July.
Building a team is not demanded of you or under any pressure. Another great thing about LuLaRoe is that you don't have to or feel pressured to establish a team; instead, you may make a ton of money from your individual sales. If you want, you can simply sell the clothing. I’ve never felt pushed to build a team, but have been encouraged to build at my own comfort and pace.
There isn't. After you sign up, they do have a two-week waiting period during which they provide you training to make you a successful retailer.
LuLaRoe will work with you on a two-week workout program while you wait. They will assign you the following tasks as part of this training after you have watched some training videos and set up your Business Page:
- Make a list of 50 names.
- Co-host a pop-up event with a local sponsor or retailer.
- Reserve a pop-up with a client.I'll also give you advice and assistance with all you need. A few of these include creating your Facebook group, promoting the fact that you are a new consultant, getting your LLC established, and buying your racks, hangers, lights, business cards, and labels. Since there is so much to do, the two week delay is a benefit.
I adore LuLaRoe's culture. Giving and helping others are central to them all. They often say that your business will prosper the more you contribute. They inspire and are really optimistic. I adore the fact that there is hardly any rivalry because each merchant has a different type of business.
Even though we're not on the same side, I like that all the retailers support one another. We are a group of women. It's incredible and unique to this MLM since in every other MLM, everyone is vying for clients. We share customers and support one another's success here. It’s amazing.
LuLaRoe is currently in the BEST position they've ever been in! The opportunity to join this amazing organization is definitely at its best right now. The prints are exquisite, and Home Office consistently improves products by taking retailer feedback to heart.
The resources they have given us allow us to significantly increase our effectiveness as independent retailers. The business is completely debt-free.
There isn't anything about the business that I dislike. Retailers as a whole, including LuLaRoe, are in great shape. There is nowhere else I would rather be.
You shouldn't be concerned about saturation until you notice LuLaRoe everywhere you go. When I explain what I do to them, they frequently have never ever heard of it! Thus, there is still a long way to go. Clothing will always be purchased by women! My worry is not with saturation.
The news is fantastic! You'll perform better if there are more consultants close by since Retailers support one another. To vary your assortment, you can trade goods with these other retailers, and you can also collaborate on multi-consultant deals. The majority of businesses currently take part in "Takeovers," where they go to the location of another retailer and conduct a Facebook Live sale where they sell that retailer's stock. Then, you buy wholesale from that retailer anything you are selling. So having a lot of merchants close by makes it incredibly easy to provide your customers a wider variety of products.
Remember that each consultant has an entirely unique inventory, therefore you don't need to be concerned about losing clients to rival consultants due to competition. Customers will always return if you provide exceptional customer service.
Based on the styles and sizes that are currently in stock, you get to customize your order. It's now completely configurable by you, as opposed to the outdated startup packages they used to have!
You can, indeed. When they call, you have two options: either hang up or tell them you're no longer interested.
No. Prior to creating a team, LuLaRoe requires sponsors to have expertise promoting the company. To be a sponsor, you must have sold at least $10,000 worth of product. You can start sponsoring others into the business if you've sold that much and held at least 10 different Pop-Ups.
LuLaRoe, in any form, may not be used in any Retailer's business names and may only be used by LuLaRoe LLC. To choose a name for your LuLaRoe business, they suggest that you refer to their Policies and Procedures.
Your sponsor is the person who assisted you in beginning your LuLaRoe journey. Since LuLaRoe is a firm with a strong sense of community, if you are an active consultant, you cannot change your sponsor. If you are an inactive consultant for 6 consecutive months (meaning, you do not sell any inventory), then you can make a request to change your sponsor. You are more than welcome to work with those who are in your Upline (Trainers, Coaches, and Mentors) since they are a part of your T.E.A.M.
Sadly, LuLaRoe no longer accepts joint ventures. You are permitted to sign up along with your spouse, but not a friend or member of your family. However, LuLaRoe will permit it if you register as an LLC and both names are stated on the LLC.
Your LuLaRoe should be washed inside out, on cold, and hung to dry. Prior to cleaning, always be sure to read the tags on each item. Dry cleaning is necessary for some sensitive items.
Yes. You must sell at least one item each month to be active.
YES! Every other week, LuLaRoe hosts training calls during which Home Office trainers share advice. Additionally, they ask other LuLaRoe sellers to share some of their business techniques on each session. It's good to hear from so many various retailers. I always get some very great ideas from it.In addition to the yearly conference held every July, LuLaRoe also offers in-person training all over the nation so they can come to YOU and provide you fantastic training.
There is a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) that you are required to market the items on Facebook when you sell the clothing online. We are given a webpage by LuLaRoe where you can list your products. You can list your inventory on this website for any price you choose.
If you want to perform a live sale, you can orally state your price for your things but you cannot post it in writing. When you post your inventory on Facebook, it must be marketed at MAP. If you'd want to read more, the Policies and Procedures are spelled out with the exact rules.
You are free to set your own price for in-person sales of the clothing.
Although you can provide a discount on the clothing online, you cannot share the sale price on Facebook. If you decide to offer a discount, you may either do a Facebook Live where you explain the sale prices to the audience or you can send them to your website, where the items are already marked down.
Everything depends on you. You have two options: either buy it from your company, or just keep it. Most stores simply keep it. For tax reasons, I like to keep a log of what I keep.
Depending on my schedule, every week is a little different for me, but I strive to dedicate at least 40 hours a week to my sales. Some weeks I want to work less so I can spend more time with my kids doing stuff. Other weeks I have big sales goals, so I put more time in. The amount of quality work that you dedicate to your business will really determine how much you will sell.
You'll probably be more successful in business if you invest more time and effort in it. It will take a lot of time and effort initially to get your business off the ground. It can take less time if you get the hang of things. However, everything just depends on how much you want to earn or sell.
I calculated that I would need to set aside between 10% and 15% of my profit each year, so I did that. Some stores make quarterly payments. Depending on your write offs and your real income, you might not owe much at the end of the year. Saving and setting aside cash for taxes is undoubtedly a wise move! For tax guidance, please consult a tax expert and/or financial counselor.
